The Spirit of the General’s Jar
The General’s Jar (将军罐) was born in the Ming Dynasty. It was named for its lid, which resembles a general’s helmet. This jar is a symbol of strength and protection. Its elegant curves make it a favorite for collectors worldwide.
Artistry in 108 Stages
Every jar follows the “108 Steps to Perfection”. We start with a solid copper body. Artisans then apply delicate wires to form the lotus vines. This is the ancient “Filigree” technique.
We fill each section with vibrant blue enamel. The piece is fired multiple times at $800^\circ C$. This creates a smooth, jade-like finish. Only the most perfect jars pass our final inspection.
